Stage 2.

Preliminary understanding

Purpose of this stage: At this stage, students will share a preliminary understanding of human well-being and wellness from the perspective of their own school and community.

Schedule: 27 November to 22 December 2017

Task:

  • Questions to Consider: What does it mean to live well? What is wellness? Am I well? How do I know? How can I stay well and what is inhibiting my wellness?

  • Task 1: Present your community’s understanding of wellness from your experience by sharing 4 – 6 artifacts (e.g. news article, advertisement, poster, short video clip etc). Post your reflections on each artifact by writing a short sentence or caption under these artifacts. 

  • Task 2: Post in discussion forum. Students from other schools can share their reflections. What did we learn by analyzing each school’s set of artifacts? How does this inform our own understanding of well-being and wellness?
